Finance Operations Assistant

Position: Finance Operations Assistant
Reports to: Deputy National Finance Director 

About the DCCC: The DCCC is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the Deputy National Finance Director in the day-to-day fundraising operations for the entire DCCC Finance Department.
  • Serve as the liaison between the regional Finance teams and the Deputy National Finance Director and all operational aspects of the Finance team, including compliance, processes, and coordination with other internal departments.
  • Work with the National Finance Team to help schedule events, meetings, etc. with the Leader and the Chairman.
  • Assist the Deputy National Finance Director with the development and editing of all briefing materials.
  • Coordinate with the Operations and Accounting Departments on processing of checks and monthly reporting.
  • Provide key administrative and organizational support to the Deputy National Finance Director on various tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous political fundraising experience.
  • NGP experience is required.
  • Travel is sometimes required for this position.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives;
  • Familiarity with Democratic political actors and landscape a plus;
  • Previous scheduling and administrative experience required;
  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Superior time management,  attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
