The DCCC requires an experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as a Political Compliance & Accounting Assistant. The ideal candidate will have entry-level experience in accounting or administration.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Accounting Project Management – Includes assisting with processing committee credit cards, employee benefits, staff reimbursements, vendor invoices and monthly reconciliations
Compliance & FEC Responsibilities – Includes tracking of various types of committee expenditures, including Independent Expenditures and assist with FEC Reporting
Departmental Coordination – Includes assisting with interdepartmental projects, managing department interns, and maintaining the department calendar and scheduling requests
Assist the CFO and department with other duties and projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in accounting and/or administration
Superior time management, planning, organization and communications skills
Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and work both independently and with other departments in accomplishing goals
